Girls at Risk, Federal Bill C-297

The Federal Government has proposed Bill C-297, currently being dubbed as the 'Bathroom Bill'.

Bill C-279 proposes changes to Federal Law, similar to changes which have already passed in the Province of Ontario. The interpretation of the Ontario law has led to the Toronto Public School Board putting a policy in place that allows for physical males into use female school washrooms.

In Washington State this is also being allowed. When a parent complained about a physical male being in the swimming pool change room where her daughter was changing for swim club, the response was to cordon off an area in the change room for the girls to change privately.
