CBC Report on Education Act: Negative Portrayal of Home Educators

Anna Maria Tremonte conducted a radio interview with HSLDA Lawyer, Paul Faris regarding the removal of the Alberta Human Rights Act from the now passed Education Act.  The interviewer seemed to want Mr. Faris to respond a particular way, but instead, Mr. Faris spoke to the issue of the Alberta Human Rights Act competently.
 
A disturbing component of the interview was the last two minutes, and the discriminatory skit aired against home educators portraying us as incompetent, uneducated, and bad parents.  
 
 
Paul van den Bosh, AHEA Media Spokesperson, wrote a response to a follow-up report in the Calgary Herald highlighting Liberal MLA Hehr’s comments related to the issue.  Mr. Hehr had also been interviewed in the CBC report, but the Herald refused to print this response.
