Ray Strom - President

Ray Strom has been with AHEA since 1988. He has a bent for the political interest of AHEA and has worked with Alberta Education on behalf of the home-educators of Alberta for most of these past 19 years. Ray served as President for three years, took a short break, and returned as Vice President for about five years and again as President for the last year. He has become the "historian of the organization" simply because of his years of involvement and experience with AHEA. He brings organizational skills, political interest and experience to the Board. Along with Lois, his wife, they love to serve you, the home educators of Alberta, even though their official task of home educating has been completed for ten years. Their desire is to help protect the generations to come by keeping our freedoms to home-educate, as well as to encourage parents to take responsibility to be the primary educators of their children!
