Stewart and his wife Wendy have been home educating their five children for over twenty years. During this time, they have been members of AHEA with the exception of two years when they were members of the PEI home educators group. As well they have had the experience of working with several Alberta supervising authorities.
Over the years Stewart has met with numerous local and provincial officials regarding home education regulations and policies. Stewart was invited to be on the committee that drafted the first home education policy for Strathcona County, Alberta. Stewart is a firm believer in parents having the right and responsibility to choose and direct the education of their children. |
