Paul van den Bosch and his wife Mary have seven children and have been home educating for 18 years, 12 years in Ontario and the last six in Alberta. Two of their children are adults who have gone on to post-secondary success and they are home schooling the remaining five, aged 18 to seven. Paul and his wife are traditional home educators. Their home school program is parent-directed and parent-delivered. Paul strongly believes in parents as the primary educators of their children and believes AHEA is the voice that speaks for the traditional home educator. He loves speaking with anyone interested in home schooling. Paul has two degrees: a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead. His background includes media experience (his radio, television, and print experience adds up to more than 10 years), business management (including two years as the store manager of the Home Depot in Red Deer) and education. Paul now works as a home school facilitator. |
